Who we are and what this policy covers
Yizen Labs Limited ("we", "us") provides Poker Science. This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with the Poker Science iOS app, the international website at https://www.pokerscience.net, and the international services supporting them.
The international website provides product information, app download information, support and email-based account services. It is not the full online training application. The mainland-China website is outside the scope of this policy.
For privacy questions or requests, contact pokerscience@outlook.com. Do not send passwords, verification codes, authentication tokens or full payment-card details.
Data we process
The data involved depends on the features you use. Visiting the product website does not require creating an account, while online account features involve account-associated processing.
Account and authentication
We process information needed to create, authenticate and manage your account, such as your email address, nickname, account identifier, authentication and verification records, and session credentials. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier and information Apple provides for that sign-in, which may include an email address or private relay address and a name if supplied.
A phone number already linked to an account may be used in supported ownership-verification flows. A phone number is not required by the app's current primary email and Apple sign-in interfaces.
Online training and learning
Online features process information such as selected training settings, game and session identifiers, poker situations, cards and actions relevant to the feature, results, statistics, learning answers and progress, and analysis or report information. Online activity is linked to your account where needed to provide these features.
Solver queries and online explanations process the scenario, cards, selected hands, actions and language that you submit. Not every calculation or app feature uses an external AI model.
Purchases and subscriptions
For App Store subscriptions, Apple handles the purchase. We receive or validate subscription and transaction information, including the product purchased, transaction records, purchase and expiry information, and identifiers used to link a purchase to your account. This supports entitlement delivery, restoration, renewal and refund handling, and transaction reconciliation.
The app does not provide a form for entering payment-card numbers or card security codes. This does not mean all purchase information stays only with Apple.
Support and feedback
We process the messages, contact information and other details you choose to send through feedback or support channels, together with relevant account or request references. Please send only information needed to explain the issue and avoid unnecessary information about other people.
Technical and security records
Our services and infrastructure process technical records used to operate, secure and diagnose the service. These can include network/request information, timestamps, service errors and session references. Some diagnostic records include email addresses, linked phone numbers, poker situations or AI responses. These records are not all anonymous.
Data held on your device and shared with nearby devices
The app stores functional information on your device, such as preferences, sign-in information, session-recovery information, feedback drafts and supported offline game files. Some features perform calculations locally rather than sending the calculation to a model provider.
Where you use QR-based invitations, the app uses the camera to recognise the invitation; it does not upload the camera image to our backend in that flow. Nearby-device features exchange information needed for the shared session, such as participant names, avatars, actions and game state, with participating devices. Data exchanged during a nearby session may remain on the participating devices, including after your account is closed.
How we use data
We use the relevant data to:
- provide accounts, authentication and requested online or local features;
- maintain training history, learning progress and requested analysis;
- verify purchases and deliver or restore subscription entitlements;
- respond to support, security and privacy requests;
- protect accounts, prevent misuse, maintain transaction integrity and diagnose failures; and
- meet applicable legal obligations and handle claims or disputes.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to provide requested services, to meet legal obligations, for legitimate operational or security interests where permitted, or based on consent where required. Where consent is required, it must be obtained before the relevant processing; you can withdraw it as described below.
Service providers, AI and other recipients
Protection by third parties
We require third parties that receive personal data from us to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection as described in this policy and required by the applicable App Store Review Guidelines. Providers processing data on our behalf must protect its confidentiality and security and use it only for the agreed service purposes, subject to applicable legal obligations. Apple and Microsoft also process information in connection with their own services under their privacy policies, as explained below.
Online AI and data processing
We use service providers for hosting, data storage, service security and transactional communications. When you use online AI features, we send the data needed to process your request to our AI service provider.
Depending on the feature, AI requests include the poker situation, actions and recent decisions relevant to the requested analysis, or the solver situation you submit for an explanation. Some requests also include account-associated identifiers. These requests are not all anonymous.
We do not authorise AI service providers to use your prompts or model outputs to train or improve their own models. Providers may process and retain data to provide the service, perform safety review and meet applicable legal obligations. Such provider records are subject to the applicable service terms, rather than the application-log and backup rotation periods described below.
You can choose not to use online AI features. Supported on-device analysis does not send that analysis request to the provider.
Service provider details
- Alibaba Cloud (Model Studio) — Cloud hosting, data storage, service security, transactional communications and online AI. Account, report and attachment storage is in Singapore; online AI uses its mainland-China service. Privacy notice · Service agreement.
Apple and communications
Apple processes information for Sign in with Apple and App Store services under its applicable terms and Privacy Policy. We also process the account and transaction information needed to provide sign-in and subscription features.
Account messages can involve our transactional email or SMS provider. If you write to our published Outlook.com support address, Microsoft processes your email address, message and any attachments through that email service under its Privacy Statement. Provider records are not automatically erased by closing a Poker Science account.
Nearby participants and legally required disclosures
Nearby-session participants receive the information described above when you choose to join or host such a session. We may disclose relevant information when required by applicable law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, subject to applicable requirements.
Where processing occurs
Our international account, report and attachment storage is located in Singapore. Some solver processing takes place in mainland China. Online AI requests use the mainland-China service identified in the provider details above.
Consequently, data may be processed outside your country, including in Singapore and mainland China. Apple, communications services and other providers may process information in the locations applicable to their services. A Singapore database location does not mean that all processing and all copies are restricted to Singapore.
Requirements for a particular transfer depend on the applicable law and the relevant service arrangements. You can contact us with questions about the processing of your data.
Storage on the website and device
The website and account pages use functional browser storage where needed, including referral and account-setup information. This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Hosting, security and request logs are still processed as described in this policy.
The app stores sign-in information, preferences and other functional files on your device. Their retention and inclusion in device backups can differ. Signing out does not necessarily remove offline files, shared sessions or all device-stored information.
How long data is kept
Account-associated service records generally remain available while the account and relevant feature data are maintained, unless they are removed through an applicable deletion process. Reports and attachments do not currently have a single automatic expiry period; they are retained with the relevant account or feature records unless removed through an applicable deletion process.
Our current operational configuration uses these normal rotation periods:
- application logs: 90 days;
- service-entry access logs: 180 days;
- several other operational logs: 30 days, with some event and alert records using different periods; and
- configured automatic service-data and database-log backups: 7 days.
Backup rotation is not the same as a seven-day lifetime for active account data. These settings describe those automatic stores, not a guarantee about every provider record, manual export, separate backup or copy held by another person.
Certain transaction, subscription, account-closure and security records remain after account deletion. These can still be linked to an account through limited account-reference and transaction information. They are not all automatically erased when an account is closed. These records are handled separately for transaction reconciliation, account-closure integrity, security, unresolved matters and applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Account deletion and its limits
You can request account deletion using the app's account-deletion flow or contact us about your data. We may need to verify that you own the account before acting.
On our services, account deletion clears identifying profile and login information and removes associated training history, learning records, support records, reports, attachments and the stored account-session information included in that process. Records not linked to the account are not automatically removed. The account-reference and transaction records described above, logs and backup copies are not all deleted at once.
If a connected sign-in provider cannot complete disconnection, we may temporarily retain the necessary sign-in and account-reference information to retry or resolve the request. A request-accepted message does not mean all deletion steps have finished. Completion time can depend on verification, the cleanup involved and the response of external providers.
Some local preferences, shared or nearby-session files, deletion-request confirmation records and data on other participants' devices can remain. Use the relevant app or device controls where available, or contact us for help understanding the scope.
Deleting your Poker Science account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. Manage the subscription separately through Apple.
Your requests and choices
Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of personal data, correct it, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or complain to an appropriate supervisory authority. Conditions and exceptions may apply.
Send requests to pokerscience@outlook.com, identifying the account and request without including passwords or verification codes. We may ask for proportionate ownership verification. Withdrawing consent does not by itself undo earlier lawful processing, and some requested online functions cannot operate without the data processing needed for them.
Poker Science is intended for people aged 18 and over. People under 18 are not eligible to use the service. If you believe that someone under 18 has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can assess the situation and take appropriate action, including deletion where applicable.
Security and changes
We use safeguards such as access controls, protected storage of sign-in information and encrypted connections for public account services. No service can guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy when our services or data handling change. We will provide notices or request additional permission where required by applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the latest revision.
